Middle Part Lace Wigs: Defined Partings

Middle part lace wigs are just one of several types of lace wigs that come with predefined partings, saving you the hassle of having to style a parting yourself.

We at TCPG masterminded, created and trademarked the term V-lace wig (OK no trademarks but we did come up with it) to refer to lace front wig that has a small V-shaped lace section at the front with a created middle parting although this section of lace isn't always v-shaped it is can be often be I-shaped and if that's not enough, there are now T-lace wigs and L-lace wigs... (pretty soon there'll be a whole alphabet of lace wigs hee hee).

Middle part lace wigs for predefined partingsLace Cap Wigs: V-Lace Front Wigs (Defined Partings & "Glueless")

Middle part lace wigs are made with a small V or I shaped section of lace in the middle at the front (there are also side parting lace wigs or angled partings to create a sweeping fringe or what's known in the US as side-bangs). The rest of the cap contains variations of the following:

  • open wefts, closed wefts or stretch lace (hand tied hair, no wefts)
  • adjustable straps at the back or whole perimeter
  • clips or combs (or both) located that can be at the back, crown, sides  which sometimes on tabs located near the ears *alternatively there may not be any clips or combs

This type of wig cap construction means that it can add extra room to the given circumference.

The adjustable straps can reduce the overall circumference by up to four centimetres (approximately 1.5 inches) so if your measurements are slightly smaller than the standard 22.5 inch full lace wig cap, then you'll be able to adjust it to make it smaller.

If you have significant or total hair loss and therefore cannot use the combs or clips, these can be removed or you can customise your order so that your middle part lace wig comes with adjustable straps but without combs and clips.

There's no doubt that of all the cap constructions, glueless middle part lace wigs are the easiest pseudo lace front wig cap construction to use and is a great option for those who are new to wearing any type of wig and is super popular with those who have been wearing wigs for a while especially you're not into adhesives or just want to take a break from using them.

Another bonus to the Wear & Go lace front wig (yes, that's what we here at TCPG are have started saying instead of "glueless" lace front wigs) is that you can take it off daily to take care of your scalp or any growth hair.

As the name suggests, middle part lace wigs have fixed partings in a very small section of lace - the hair cannot be parted in anywhere else even if you've gone for a stretch lace cap with hand tied hair, so certain hairstyles will be off limits (half up, half down style and so on).

The hair cannot be worn in a high up-do as the edge of the cap would show – However the TCPG top tip is to simply go for the stylish loose ponytail - voila!
